Read about one of our donor's story.

It is that time of the year again! Between hectic last minute Christmas shopping and all the Holiday planning, we all need to take a couple minutes to think and to be thankful, for the new friends we made, for the people we care about and for all our achievements this 2016, that's quickly coming to an end.

We hope it was a beautiful year for you all! We like to call it, a year of learning. Always a good thing to ponder at the end of every experience.

We, the Kateri Tekakwitha Fund, have so many things to be thankful for, but among them all, we are truly thankful of our donors. Our labor in helping Guatemalan women is successful because of you.

David and Kimberly are good examples. They have been with us for a long time now. We wanted to share their thoughts with you. A perfect way to say Goodbye 2016! :)

David and Kimberly were introduced to the Fund by David’s mother, Monica Olsen, who has been a sponsor since 2001. They have sponsored five young women: Nohelia Cun who is studying at the University and works as a Promotor for Share International, Cristina Cux who is a music teacher, Blanca Surec who works at a resort near her home, Vilma Tuctuc who is married and living in the U.S., and Sandra Patzan who is studying at the university. Because of their education, they all have been able to move on to productive lives.

Kimberly and David

David and Kimberly are amazed and inspired by accomplishments of these young women. Kimberly said, “I could not think of a better way to donate money and see it go to making a true difference in someone’s life. These young women have a purpose and such gratitude for the opportunity to educate themselves and support their families and live out their educational dreams.” They have continued to sponsor the women through the Kateri Fund because of the communication that they have with the individuals via their letters. Kimberly said, “You really do know exactly how your money is benefiting these young women, and ultimately, their families and their communities.”

Like David and Kimberly, you can become a sponsor, too. It is very easy and it is also life-changing :)
