Kateri Internship Program

The Internship Program is the newest component of the Kateri Education Fund. The Kateri Education Fund developed the Internship Program to support recent high school graduates as they begin their job search, a process that often takes up to one year. Through strategic partnerships with schools and other local institutions, the Internship Program enables the women to gain critical career experience, while earning a stipend to help support them and their families.

This program helps the young women to enter into the working world, allowing them to increase their skills and gain connections with employers that can lead to long-term employment. The internship program includes workshops and training opportunities on topics such as interview skills, further aiding their professional development.

Meet the Interns

Dolores

2023 Kateri Intern

Dolores is currently completing her university studies in social work. At the same time, she is doing an internship at a nonprofit community organization, working with the elderly as well as local artisans.

Maria

2023 Kateri Intern

Maria completed her studies in accounting. She is now practicing her skills at an accounting agency in her hometown.

Melany

2023 Kateri Intern

Melany studied science and letters with a focus on computer studies. She is now completing an internship with Habitat for Humanity.

Nicolasa is currently completing her studies in social work while interning with a local nonprofit focused on education.
